Visit a brewery of one of the first craft beers produced in Poland and try 8 different beers while hearing local brand stories, learning about beer basics and spending a nice time with a local craft beer enthusiast – this tasting session will definitely make your afternoon extraordinary!
Our local guide will meet you at a centrally located bar dedicated to the communist times which will enable you to go back in time to those extraordinary times. What you have to keep in mind is that times before 1989 were a totally different reality where vodka was as common to drink as water, people lined up for in long queues just to get regular products from shelves as there was pretty much nothing besides the locally produced vinegar.
This insightful tour gives you the chance to taste 6 types of Polish vodkas with a small plate of appetizers to enjoy the vodka with. You will get to know ins and outs of the proper vodka tasting and also learn about the history of the country’s preferred beverage. The workshop will take place in a traditional Polish restaurant in the city centre. It will be conducted by our food expert and an active cook. During our 2.5-hour workshop the participants will be treated to a Polish appetizer and drinks, and taken through the whole process of preparing pierogi: from rolling the dough to filling and sealing the dumplings.
Taste the wide palette of Polish flavours. We are going to try borscht, sour rye soup, dumplings, bagels, potato pancakes, pork chops, as well as our “tapas” - pickles and herring. Finally, we will wash it all down with some digestive spirits.
