Description

The Auschwitz tour is a half day tour from Krakow provided by our private vehicle and a tour guide for the group in Auschwitz. The tour takes around 6-7 hours.

Your group will be picked up from your accommodation by our English-speaking driver around 8:30am to 9:30am. Pick up time can be scheduled flexibly upon booking and depends on the location of your hotel/hostel.

Our driver is going to take you in a private comfortable car straight to Auschwitz where you will join the guided tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. The transfer from Krakow itself lasts for around 1 hour each way. In Oświęcim (Auschwitz) the tour with a guide for the group will last for about 3,5h. After the tour there is a possibility to have a lunch nearby and after the lunch our private driver will take all participants of the group back in an air-conditioned Mercedes van straight to Krakow where you will get at around 3:30 pm.

General information about Auschwitz Tour

Auschwitz is very well known all over the world as a symbol of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust. During the II World War it was the largest concentration camp of Nazi Germany, which was established in the suburbs of the city of Oświęcim (which translates to Auschwitz in German language), approximately 60 kilometers west of Krakow. Auschwitz and Birkenau, the two camps were liberated in January 1945. After the War, Polish government decided to restore Auschwitz – Birkenau and turn it into a museum honouring the victims of Nazism. Now it is part of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
