Do you think you know pierogi?
Pierogi come in different sizes, but always in the same shape. Or do they? They are the staple of Polish cuisine and you can fill them with anything you love – pork, beef, cabbage, wild mushrooms, blueberries, strawberries, quark. Your culinary imagination is the limit. The famous ruskie (Ruthenian pierogi) come with quark, boiled potatoes, and sautéed onions while artisan meat pierogi are filled with minced pork. What do you choose?
What is Pierogi Masterclass?
The workshop will take place in a traditional Polish restaurant in the city centre. It will be conducted by our food expert and an active cook. During our 2.5-hour workshop the participants will be treated to a Polish appetizer and drinks, and taken through the whole process of preparing pierogi: from rolling the dough to filling and sealing the dumplings. Our chefs will also tell you about the methods of sealing pierogi and their local varieties. After the class, all participants will have their pierogi (prepared with 2 or more fillings) as lunch followed by a traditional Polish ‘na zdrowie’!
